Reminder: Total Consecration To Jesus Through Mary Begins September 4th!

“The more we honor the Blessed Virgin, the more we honor Jesus Christ, because we honor Mary only that we may the more perfectly honor Jesus, since we go to her only as the way by which we are to find the end we are seeking, which is Jesus.” (St. Louis de Montfort)

I just wanted to remind everyone that our Total Consecration To Jesus Through Mary (using the St. Louis de Montfort method) begins on September 4th.  In order to better prepare, I am cancelling this week’s Following The Truth radio show on BlogTalkRadio.  I’ll return with a special “Consecration kickoff edition” on September 4th at 2 PM.

I’ve received notice from several people indicated that they will be making the consecration along with me.  If you’d like to participate, please send me an email (gary@followingthetruth.com with “Mary” as the subject).  It costs you nothing and there is no obligation.  All you’re saying is that you’ll consecrate your life to Jesus by trying to do a better job (with Mary’s help) in living out your baptismal vows.  The process involves 33 days of prayer (10 – 15 minutes per day and we’ll do them together on the radio show), followed by the formal consecration on the 34th day.  If you start and decide that it’s too much, you can quit…it’s not a sin and you’re not breaking any promises.  In my opinion, it’s a lot better to try and fail than never to try at all.  By agreeing to give it a try, you’re telling the Lord that you want to be a better Christian.  What could be bad about that? :-)

Take a look at my previous blog post for more details about the Total Consecration to Jesus Through Mary, including how to obtain your free consecration packet.  If you have any questions, please email me at gary@followingthetruth.com .

I’m looking  forward to getting started on September 4th and I hope you are too!

    hi gary,
i wanted to understand, are the devotions going to be on your blog talk radio and on the podcast and do we need to listen at the times you are giving them or can we listen after, my daughter and i want to do this devotion together and live in different timezones and are confused which time zone you are referring to when you say the kickoff is a 2pm Sept 4th? Are the shows live or recorded or do people just listen anytime?

      Hi Sherry,
All of my shows appear in podcast form on BlogTalkRadio and iTunes once they air live. Therefore, you can listen to them at any time free of charge. Inceidentally, the shows air live in the Eastern time zone. I will be sending an email in the next day or two clarifying some of the more confusing points of the devotion. I have you on the list…stay tumed for more details!
      God Bless,
      Gary
